Hip Hop Dance Lesson 2

Today, was our classes turn to participate in the hip hop dance class. Our hip hop conductor taught us new dance moves, new games and her name was Izzy. Last week, Izzy mostly taught us new games and this week was the same. We first got into two or three lines, then we warmed up so we wouldn't pull a muscle.

Izzy taught us how to play rock, paper scissors, but the unusual thing about it was that, we had to use different styles of showing rock, paper and scissors. To show rock, you'll have to crouch down like your Spider Man. To show paper, you'll have to spread your arms out like you're about to hug someone. Finally, to show scissors you would have to cross your arms, like your hugging your invisible friend. Playing this game will need an even number of teams and we only used four groups.

Then, Izzy amused us by allowing us to play follow the leader and that was a game that we knew. Every child in the team had a chance to be the leader and control what the others do behind you. When I was the leader, I just ran around the hall side stepping and making shapes as I ran around.

Finally, Izzy showed us how to perform actions while saying your abc's. At the end of the lesson, every child enjoyed dancing and thanked Izzy for the lesson.
