Sally wanted to save money to buy a new outfit. Sally saved $24.60 in May, $28.50 in June and $20.70 in July. However, she also had to spent $17.00 on school supplies and $44.10 on her dog. If the outfit costs $119.80, how much money does Sally still need to save?

0.50=1, 1.00=2,  1.50=3, 2.00=4, 4.00=8, 8.00=16, 12.00=24.

Melanie received 24 50 cents.
Sam works seven days a week. He works from 8 o’clock in the morning until 8 o’clock in the evening. How many hours does Sam work for in one week?
Sam works for = 7 days
Each day he works = 12 hours

There were a total of twenty-one football games during the three month season, and eight are played at night. If the games are equally divided, how many football games are played a month?
21 ÷ 3 = 7
7 football games are played in a month.
A restaurant sold forty-nine salads and fourteen pies last week. How many salads on average were sold each day?
They sold = 49 salads in a week
In one week there are = 7 days
49 ÷ 7 = 7
On average, 7 salads were sold each day.

Sewing

Today, our technology class were instructed to accomplish our cushion we've been working on for a couple of weeks. The thing my companient and I did wrong was that, we didn't measure the cushion correctly and the length of the pillow was supposed to be 40cm and the width was supposed to be 40 cm.
