Welcome to New Zealand!

Congratulations on having a new born child in your family. It must be hard being the prime minister and a mother at the same time, but I believe you could make things work. My suggestion for the babies name is Cinda because it's short for Cinderella and because she is your little princess.

Easttle T2 Reading

On the 6th of April our class did a reading assessment for T2. We did the same test on the 12th of June and I checked if both scores were different, but I got the same exact score as last time. But I was still above the level I was suppose to be in, next term I will like to get a 4A or a 5B.

Matariki Art

Our class were making these wonderful and exciting pieces of art.
We did this because every class in the school had to do make their own
matriki themed item. The style we used was painted by the famous
artist Vincent Van Gogh. But instead of drawing the village he lived
in, we drew either harbour bridge or the sky tower. The way we
painted it was with thick layers of circles around the stars, it took us a
few days to finish the art.

Darn I dropped 2%!

This week I decreased by two percent in my basic facts. Although I went backwards I still got 95 percent in a timed test. The ones that I got wrong were because I went a little too fast, and miscalculated the answers. In the future I’m going to be a little more careful with my calculations. Next week I would like to get 100 percent in the stage 8 timed assessment. By the end of term two I hope to consistently get 100 percent in the stage 8 timed assessment.

Mondo grass

The picture above is about our school sitting on the ground surrounded by mondo grass. Mondo grass is very special because there is something about it that makes it very unique form our ordinary grass. The volunteer told us that we had to push the grass down with all our might. Then the the mondo grass will just slowly make it's way back up. The volunteer explained to us that the mondo grass is us, when we are pushed to the ground we should get back up and try again.

Buddhist Temple

Today our school went on a trip to the Buddhist temple in Botany. One of the activities we got to be a part of was, making origami lotus flowers. After all the other activities, we all assembled in a hall and they all gave us one bell each.
